Public Sector Project Manager
Run municipal and government ERP implementations — scope, plan, budget, governance and the client relationship that carries all four.

A public-sector implementation is judged by a council, an audit committee and the Auditor-General as well as by the client who signed the contract. You will run those projects: the plan, the budget, the risks, the steering committee, and the honest conversation when something needs to change.
This is a contract role with a strong likelihood of extension across a programme of work.
What you will do
- Plan and run implementations from kick-off to close-out
- Chair steering committees and report to executive sponsors
- Manage scope, budget, risk and dependencies
- Coordinate consultants, developers and client teams
- Keep the documentation an audit will ask for
What we are looking for
- Project management experience on ERP or financial systems
- Public-sector delivery experience in South Africa
- A working knowledge of the MFMA, SCM regulations and public-sector governance
- The ability to hold a difficult line with a client and keep the relationship
Nice to have
- PMP, PRINCE2 or an equivalent certification
- mSCOA implementation experience
- Agile delivery experience
